Drama Program Overview

The Shakopee Drama Program is available to all students grades 7 - 12 who are interested in a theatre experience. Students have the opportunity to be on stage or learn behind the scenes skills including building sets, designing and running lights and sound, stage management, hair/make-up and costume design, student directing, and many more additional skills.

Drama News Updates

ONE-ACT:

This show has been cast already and will be recorded at the end of this week. It will be passed through a mock competition to get some feedback and then the final take will be afterward.
Our one-act selection for this year is Bad Actors... On-Camera by Ian and Carrie McWethy
Please excitedly wait for the show to be released to the public and wish us luck with the competition.

Drama Club Meetings

The 2020-2021 drama club meetings will be held over Google Meets. The link can be found here on the website in addition to the Shakopee Drama Club Facebook group. This is likely to change as COVID related regulations change with the school year.

Just a reminder that starting at our next meeting this will not be given freely. You'll have to fill out a form with a legitimate excuse or have contacted me. This wasn't something we wanted or should have had to do, but attendance is really sad. Please come and encourage others! We have all worked hard please help us continue this club for years to come!
