2019 Saber Readiness Information

2019 Saber Readiness Summer Program

6-8th Grade Information

The Saber Readiness program is open to any athlete going into 6-8th grades that want to improve their overall athletic strength and fitness. Students will learn safe lifetime fitness activities through supervised strength coaching. Saber Readiness is a mid-level program that will teach, practice, and develop proper strength training in a safe and controlled manner.


Session Dates and Times:

June 17th - August 9th   ALL sessions are Monday & Wednesday (2 days per week)

*No sessions the week of the 4th of July*

R1   7:00am- 8:30am

R2   8:00am- 9:30am

R3   9:00am- 10:30am

R4   10:00am- 11:30am

R5   11:00am- 12:30pm


Session Cost and Location:

$120 for the entire session. Cost includes a Saber Strength shirt. All sessions will take place at the Shakopee West Junior High School. Athletes should be picked up and dropped off at the Pool Entrance of the school.


General Information:

  • Students/ athletes should wear proper workout attire (shorts/t-shirt/athletics shoes)

  • Students/ athletes must follow directions and be willing to work



All registration is done online through the Shakopee Activities Office Website

  1. Go to and click the “Registration” tab at the top. Then, click the “Saber Strength Registration” link in the drop down menu.

  2. If you have a Sport Engine account, please log in. If you do not, please create an account. You will have to verify your account with the email address provided before you can proceed with creating your new account.

  3. Once you are logged in to Sport Engine, please continue with the 2019 Saber Strength registration. All starred questions must be answered in order for the registration to be complete.

  4. Please pay by credit card. If financial assistance is needed, please contact the Activities Office at (952) 496-5171 or 

  5. Complete the registration and log out

**Sessions are first come, first serve. They will be capped at 36 students per session. If a session is full, please select another. Do not call the Activities Office to ask if you can still register for a full session.
