ACE Program Overview

The ACE (Architecture Construction Engineering) program  is a 20 week program run by mentors from around the twin cities, whether that be Engineers, Architects, Contractors, Project Managers, etc. The students get an assigned task by the National ACE organization, and then with the help of the mentors the students work through the problem to create a solution.

An example of this would be, last year we were asked to renovate the library in our current school. They did surveys, made 3D sketches, models, looked up logistics, costs, materials, labor that would be involved, etc. They then took this information and competed against five other schools at the University of Minnesota.

The group also allows for two to three field trips throughout the year, that are cost free to the students, which these students are allowed the opportunity to go to local construction sites, Architecture firms, construction material fabrication plants, etc.

The ACE mentorship program also allows for opportunity for awarding scholarships to participants who apply. This year the organization has $10,000 dollars to award. Last year we had two students win a total of $3000.
