Varsity Coed Team 2019

Bowling Program Overview

Shakopee High School Bowling is comprised of 7-12 grade, as a JV and Varsity Team (Coed in the Fall). This is a club lettering sport for those who meet the requirements. We encourage one year of bowling league experience. Winter is the girls season, which is Varsity only as we have to combine with other schools to have enough for a team.  We usually have 2-3 girls from Shakopee, we are hoping to attract more girls so we can have our own girl's team.

Coed Fall team practices out of Shakopee Bowl on Wednesdays from 4-5:30. Our meets are usually Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays and an occasional Wednesday. We usually have 7-8 meets during our fall season.  We also have a conference tournament, to determine who will make it to state or the Super Regional to also to advance to state.  The fall season starts in mid August with try-outs (if necessary) and practices and our conference meets start after school begins.  Our season ends mid November unless you advance to state which is usually the first weekend in December.

The Girl's Winter season starts practices mid December and meets start the first Saturday of January and goes until the end of February. State is the first weekend of March.  All of our meets for girls are on Saturdays. Practices are 1-2 times a week anywhere from 1-2 hours a time. Location of the practices is determined by the coach depending where the other girls come from.
